Portuguese cuisine is special in its simplicity, they say. It’s characterized by deceptively simple dishes which use the finest and freshest produce. During our petiscos and wine tour you will discover traditional Portuguese gastronomy with us. Walking through the center of Porto, you will learn that the local cuisine has a lot more to offer than you would expect. And why the residents of this city are called Tripeiros, a name that refers to an age-old stew, tripas a moda do Porto. You will taste vinho verde (green wine!) and Port wine, while you are served typical Portuguese snacks, petiscos. You’ll try crispy cod fritters, known as bolinho de bacalhau and rissol de vitela, a savory portuguese pastry with veal inside. Of course we also visit the central food market, the Mercado do Bolhão. Finally, so that you can continue your culinary quest independently after the tour, we will share recommendations for restaurants, bars and shops.
